About We Regenerate

Our team aims to create better business, homes and communities through targeted investments that enhance existing homes and land parcels into places where people can live, work and thrive.

We are passionate about developing homes and communities professionally to ensure our projects support the aims and objectives of stakeholders that deliver more purposeful regeneration and placemaking outcomes.

We aim to support Councils to solve challenges surrounding their statutory duty to house by accommodating local people in their transition from emergency and temporary housing into permanent homes where families can lay down roots and integrate into their community.

Our plan has 12 Economic, Social and Governance (ESG) principles at its core and these are summarised as follows:

  • To provide a minimum of 500 sustainable homes for emergency, temporary and permanent residents by the end of 2029.

We will ensure resident safety and building quality:

  • We aim to be 100% compliant with our legal obligations as a landlord around gas, electrical and fire safety.
  • We will strive to provide homes that meet the Decent Homes Standard.
  • We will invest in homes to ensure they meet the highest energy performance rating.
  • We will maintain high levels of health and safety and quality within our homes.
  • We will ensure that labour standards to deliver our services are robustly adhered to.
  • Diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities will be at the heart of our delivery strategy.
  • Staff training will be at strongly promoted to ensure high quality delivery.

We will ensure our residents have a voice and feel empowered:

  • We Regenerate welcomes feedback, and we will use the compliments and complaints it receives to shape our future practice.
  • We will measure resident satisfaction of the products and services we offer.
  • We will look to continuously improve by acting upon feedback received from customers that drives continuous improvement.
  • We will always ensure data security.

We want stakeholders engaged with our service to thrive:

  • We will use local material suppliers as far as possible to drive our social value commitments.
  • We will prioritise working with subcontractors from the local area to ensure the construction £ remains within the area of work.
  • We will review the community impact of all services provided to stakeholders.
  • We will look to house local people wherever possible.
  • We will provide support packages to our customers to improve their health and wellbeing.

We will produce a portfolio of homes that provide warmth and safety for residents aimed to support more sustainable communities. Using our skilled and experienced customer liaison team we will provide bespoke support packages to improve the lives of our customers.

We will ensure that the activities of We Regenerate minimise the impact on climate change. Our strategy looks at where we are now and devises actions for continuous improvement including use of modern methods of construction, renewable technologies, insulation, emissions data and the embodied energy of building materials.

We aim to protect the local environment and ecology by deploying robust procedures and policies surrounding local ecology, sourcing materials, waste management, managing pollutants, water management and biodiversity net gain.

We will ensure natural resources are used as sustainably as possible by responsibly sourcing materials and minimising the environmental impact relating to our methods of work including water security, reducing waste and increasing recycling.

Good governance is undeniably the strongest cornerstone of ESG. We will ensure compliance with legislation, risk management, financial accounting/ reporting and we will evolve realistic, understandable and measurable relationships with our public and private sector partners.

We have leadership integrity, ethical business practices and a firm commitment to having inclusion and diversity throughout our organisation.

Meet The Team

Thomas Field, Managing Director

Thomas is a construction professional who has a wealth of experience in development of refurbished and new build homes across NW England especially within the Liverpool City Region.

Thomas has a strong commercial acumen at the same time being closely aware of the need to deliver the wider ESG aims and objectives of the company that include providing warm, safe and secure homes and sustainable communities for local people.

Martin Gerrelli, Director

Martin Gerrelli

Martin has over 30 years- experience in the house building, environmental and housing retrofit sectors and he is passionate about creating better business, homes and communities in partnership with the public and private sector.

Chris Riley, Property Manager

Chris has extensive experience of working within the property sector. He has a background working for estate agencies and independent landlords that manage both large mixed-use sites and smaller buildings regionally and nationally.

Chris is a highly motivated and experienced professional that always put the customer first.

Chris is passionate in providing assistance to those in need, having undertaken a number of charitable endeavours both professionally and personally.

Julie Field, Customer Liaison Manager

Julie is a fully qualified social worker with over 30-years’ experience in the social care sector including the following subsectors:

  • Early education
  • Residential care
  • Children and families
  • Supported housing
  • Child protection

Julie joined We Regenerate Limited from The Ministry of Justice where she worked for 4 years having previously been employed by a City Council in its social work department for more than 20 years.
